  　　Some people think that parents should teach children how to be good members of society. Others however, believe that school is the place to learn this. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. 　　有些人认为父母应该教育孩子如何成为好的社会成员。然而另外一些人认为学校应该做这件事情。讨论这两种见解并且给出你的观点。
  　　Recently, there is a tendency for parents to attach greater importance to their children's education.Some people take the view that parents should take the responsibility of conducting their children's behaviour, and telling them what is right from wrong, while others advocate that it is the school's responsibility.
  　　People who hold the opinion that the school should shoulder the major responsibility to educate children have some sound reasons. In the first place, most of the children's waking time is spent in schools, and their purpose to attend school is to receive education. Secondly, the parents of the children pay for the education of their children, so they have the rights to receive corresponding services. As an institution of education, the school has the sole responsibility to educate the young generation. Finally, there are well-equipped facilities and well-trained teachers in schools. The school provides an environment, in which children can not only master knowledge and skills, but also learn how to adapt themselves to the society and how to become responsible citizens.
  　　However, the other side of the coin voices its strong opposition, saying that the parents should assume the main duty of children's education. First of all, the parents know their children more than the school does, and they know what to teach and in what way it can be accepted. The parents function as the first teachers of their children so that they should be responsible for the education of their children. In the second place, it is beneficial to teach children in accordance with their specific features. However, in school, each child gets inadequate inpidual attention, and sometimes his particular needs are passed over.
